How to use Focus and Break Session Timer

Follow a short sequence of work and rest periods without an account, alarm service or saved habit history. Each completed phase waits for your decision to advance, and the following phase stays idle until explicitly started. A snapshot shows what actually finished in this visible-tab session.

  1. Choose bounded focus/rest lengths and cycle count, then Run.
  2. Start a phase, pause when needed and explicitly move to Next after completion.
  3. Copy/download completed-phase evidence or Reset to discard the local session.

Good to know

  • 1–12 focus/break cycles, with 5–120 focus minutes and 1–30 break minutes; at most 24 phases. Every numeric field uses a canonical integer, not an expression.
  • Monotonic active-time timing pauses when hidden and requires explicit Start to resume. A phase never auto-starts the next phase, and closing/suspending the page stops observation. It is not a background alarm, notification or timekeeping guarantee.
  • No sound, notification permission, calendar contact, productivity inference or persistent streak is provided. Completed-phase evidence does not prove attention, employment hours or a health outcome.
  • Reset, another Run/example or navigation disposes animation/listeners. UI/output updates are coalesced, and Copy/Download captures the latest bounded session snapshot.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Will a long hidden period silently finish several focus and break sessions?

No. Hiding pauses the current active-time phase. After a phase finishes, you must explicitly choose Next and then Start. The tool does not invent completed work while you are away.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
