How to use Online Countdown Timer

Set a duration, prepare the timer, then select Start in the result panel. The remaining time is measured from the browser clock rather than by counting interval callbacks.

  1. Enter a duration in seconds and select Run tool to prepare the controls.
  2. Select Start; pause and resume as needed. Restart returns to the full duration.
  3. Keep the tab open. Copy or download a snapshot, or use Reset to remove the session.

Good to know

  • No alarm sound, push notifications, background service or persisted session is provided.
  • Throttling can delay visible updates. Device sleep can pause the browser clock on some systems; this is not a safety or scheduling alarm.
  • The maximum duration is24 hours. Closing, reloading, Reset or running again discards the active session.

Common questions

Does Run tool start the countdown immediately?

No. Run tool prepares an idle timer; select Start in its controls to begin.

Will it alert me after I close this page?

No. The timer lives only in this open tab and does not send sound, notifications or background alarms.

What is included in the download?

A JSON snapshot of the state, remaining milliseconds and elapsed milliseconds at the time you selected Download.
