How to use Text Wrapper
Prepare readable plain-text blocks for notes or narrow displays. Set the line width and choose whether an overlong word may be split.
- Paste plain text and choose a line width.
- Decide whether long words can break.
- Wrap the text and inspect paragraph boundaries and long tokens.
Good to know
- Whitespace inside each source line becomes single spaces; existing line breaks remain paragraph boundaries.
- Width counts graphemes, not terminal display columns. Wide CJK characters, tabs, and font metrics are not modeled.
- This does not parse Markdown, HTML, or source code syntax.
Common questions
Why can a line exceed the width?
Keep-whole mode leaves an overlong token intact. Choose break mode to enforce the grapheme limit.
Will emoji split apart?
Supported emoji sequences are wrapped as grapheme clusters rather than UTF-16 units.
