How to use Plain Text Teleprompter

Practice a speech or record your own reading while the words move through a simple local panel. Autoscroll follows elapsed active time rather than counting animation frames. Pause to scroll manually, rewind to the beginning or choose a comfortable fixed font size without opening an account.

  1. Paste your own script and choose a bounded scroll speed and font preset.
  2. Run the tool, then explicitly Start or Pause inside the reading panel; rewind when needed.
  3. Keep the tab visible and copy/download a session snapshot only when you choose.

Good to know

  • At most 20,000 UTF-16 characters and 400 source lines; only well-formed Unicode plain text. Font presets are 24, 32, 48 and 64 CSS pixels; speed is 10–120 CSS pixels per second.
  • This viewport does not record audio/video, request camera or microphone access, mirror an external display or parse HTML. Source markup is literal text. Manual scrolling is intended while paused.
  • Hiding the document pauses motion and explicit Start is required to resume. The monotonic browser clock and animation scheduling do not guarantee physical scroll speed, broadcast synchronization or background playback.
  • Reset, another Run/example and page exit dispose the animation/listeners and clear the panel. No script/history is stored automatically. Downloaded evidence may contain private session information.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Will this keep reading while I switch to another tab?

No. This panel pauses when the document becomes hidden. Return to it and explicitly Start again. It is a local reading aid rather than a background playback or recording service.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
