How to use Rhythm Click Track WAV Generator

Write one bar using A for an accented click, x for a quieter click and a period for a rest. Repeat that bar at a declared quarter-note BPM; timing is placed at absolute sample positions rather than accumulated rounded delays.

  1. Choose tempo, quarter-note beats per bar, subdivisions and bar count.
  2. Supply exactly one pattern character per step. Choose50% for straight timing or swing paired steps.
  3. Run the generator and download the real WAV file. Open the file in your preferred audio player.

Good to know

  • Fixed 48 kHz mono 16-bit PCM, at most 60 seconds and 64 bars. BPM is 20–400. Tempo and swing accept at most 3 decimal places; frame positions round once to the nearest sample, with exact ties toward the later sample.
  • A and x synthesize 10 ms windowed sine clicks at 1760 and 880 Hz. This is a synthetic practice track, not a drum sample library.
  • Swing is supported for two or four steps per beat. No audio plays automatically and no real-time scheduling or metronome alarm is provided.

Common questions

How long must the pattern be?

Beats per bar multiplied by steps per beat. Four beats with two subdivisions needs eight characters, such as A.x.x.x.

Does swing change bar length?

No. Each two-step pair keeps its total length. The swing percentage assigns more of that pair to its first step.

Is the level an acoustic loudness measurement?

No. It is a digital synthesis level. Playback volume and sound pressure depend on your device and player.
