How to use JSON to CSV
Create a CSV table from record-style JSON. Columns are collected from all objects, missing values become blank cells, and nested data stays as JSON in a cell.
- Paste a non-empty JSON array of objects.
- Convert the records into a CSV table.
- Download the CSV and import it into your spreadsheet application.
Good to know
- Up to 5,000 records and 200 columns, within the JSON input limit.
- Nested objects and arrays are serialized in a single cell; they are not flattened.
- Cells beginning with formula-like prefixes receive a leading apostrophe for spreadsheet safety. Null and missing values both become blank cells.
Common questions
Why is there an apostrophe before some values?
It prevents spreadsheet software from treating a value such as =SUM(A1) as a formula. Import behavior varies, so review the data after importing.
How are columns ordered?
Columns follow their first appearance across the input records.
