Curtain Panel Fabric Planner

Plan full-width sewn curtain panels, seam and hem allowances, matched vertical repeats and one rounded fabric purchase with individual strip cuts.

✓ Browser-local processing
Use the complete example schema. Quantities are exact decimal strings with up to six places; do not replace them with JSON decimal numbers.

How to use Curtain Panel Fabric Planner

Use one common length unit and enter each panel's closed coverage, fullness and finished drop. Add two-sided join allowances and outer hems, choose sufficient full fabric widths, and round cut drops to an entered vertical repeat before totaling the roll purchase.

  1. Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.
  2. Use one common length unit and enter each panel's closed coverage, fullness and finished drop. Add two-sided join allowances and outer hems, choose sufficient full fabric widths, and round cut drops to an entered vertical repeat before totaling the roll purchase.
  3. Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.

Good to know

  • Up to 30 panels and 1,000 full-width strips total. Length inputs are six-place decimal strings up to 1,000,000; positive fabric width, purchase increment, coverage/drop and fullness up to 10. Width must exceed twice the join allowance.
  • All strips use whole fabric width and an aligned starting pattern phase. No crosswise offcut reuse, initial alignment waste, shrinkage, horizontal matching, railroading or installation/fit guarantee. Excess flat width is reported.
  • Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.

Common questions

Why can assembled width exceed my requested fullness?

The model buys and joins whole usable fabric widths. The smallest sufficient integer number can exceed coverage times fullness. It reports that excess without assuming a crosswise trim or reuse, while seam and side-hem deductions remain explicit.

Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?

No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
