How to use Bounded CSV Arithmetic Column

Apply a reviewable derived-value expression to local table rows with exact rational intermediates. The report retains expression structure, row errors and bounded exact fraction witnesses while a separate CSV preserves original columns.

  1. Enter input, arithmetic ast json, new calculated column, output decimal places (0–12).
  2. Choose the settings for bounded csv arithmetic column, then run the tool.
  3. Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.

Good to know

  • 5,000 CSV records, 50 AST nodes, 10 levels, 12 normalized input decimal places, 1,000 numerator/denominator digits and 350,000 output cell characters.
  • Only decimal-string constants, literal source column names and add/subtract/multiply/divide nodes. Browser work uses an isolated module worker with a 2-second computation deadline after startup. No formula language, eval, functions, property access or spreadsheet execution. Division by zero and invalid/empty numbers are reported or refused; output rounding is explicit.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Can I enter JavaScript or a spreadsheet expression?

No. Supply the documented data-only JSON tree. Each node has an exact supported shape, so unknown operators, additional keys and executable source are refused.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
