How to use Anagram Checker

Check whether two phrases use the same characters in any order. The report compares multiplicity, so repeated letters must match as well.

  1. Enter the two phrases.
  2. Choose exact comparison or normalized letters/numbers.
  3. Compare the result and the retained grapheme totals.

Good to know

  • NFC normalization is always applied. Default lowercase is not linguistic equivalence or transliteration.
  • Exact mode counts whitespace and emoji. This checks character inventories, not whether the result is a dictionary word.

Common questions

Do repeated letters matter?

Yes. Aab and abb have different inventories and do not match.

Are accents ignored?

No. Canonically equivalent accented spellings match, but é and e remain different.
