How to use ZIP File Workbench

Create a ZIP, list safe entries or extract one file under strict expansion bounds. Directory and local headers must agree. Selected extraction checks actual output size and CRC; entry names never become filesystem paths, and files are downloaded individually.

  1. Provide the input and select the documented mode or options.
  2. Run the tool and review its result and any limits reported below.
  3. Copy the text result or download a separate output file.

Good to know

  • Create:30 files,10MiB aggregate; safe unique names. Read:10MiB ZIP,200 entries,10MiB per entry,50MiB declared total and100× ratio.
  • Only stored/DEFLATE single-volume non-ZIP64 archives with ASCII or UTF8 names are supported. Encrypted, symlink, overlapping and unsafe-path entries are rejected.
  • Extraction incrementally checks actual output and a5-second compute cap. Listing metadata alone is not an integrity or malware check; downloaded bytes remain untrusted.
  • Processing happens in this browser tab. Inputs and results are not automatically saved or uploaded.
