How to use Single-item Time-phased Material Plan
For each period, consume demand after scheduled receipts, then add enough planned receipts to retain the declared safety balance. Lot-for-lot or fixed multiples control size, and an integer lead time shifts releases, including visible pre-horizon requirements.
- Enter model json (schema and units below).
- Choose the stated convention and check the units and supported model.
- Calculate, inspect the result, then copy or download it.
Good to know
- 1–100 numbered periods, whole units up to 1,000,000 per field, projected stock at most 1,000,000,000, lead time 0–100 periods. One independent item only; no BOM explosion, capacity, uncertain lead times, holidays or purchasing action.
- Local calculation only; no input persistence or external lookup. Text/JSON is limited to 30000 characters and output to 1000000 characters. Numeric model inputs and precision/work limits are stated on this page. Approximate JSON numbers retain full stored values; exact arithmetic outputs retain decimal or fraction strings. Unsupported states fail explicitly.
- Educational user-assumption arithmetic only. No live prices, laws, tax rules, quotes or financial advice.
Common questions
What does a release period of zero mean?
That modeled order would need release before the supplied planning horizon. It remains an explicit past-due requirement rather than silently moving into period one.
Is the input uploaded or saved?
No. The tool calculates inside this browser tab and provides a local download; it does not persist your input.
