How to use Available-to-promise Order Workbench

Enter one item’s opening stock and dated receipts, then each order’s earliest/requested/latest dates and quantity. Choose explicit source or requested-date priority and whether partial confirmations are allowed. Only supplied stock is reserved; an unfillable all-at-once order leaves its stock available for later orders.

  1. Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.

Only supplied stock is reserved; an unfillable all-at-once order leaves its stock available for later orders.
  3. Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.

Good to know

  • At most 100 receipts and 100 orders over an as-of/horizon span of 0–3,660 days. Exact quantities are 0–1,000,000,000 per receipt/opening and strictly positive per order. Dates use the Gregorian 1900–9999 range. No expiry, production, dispatch calendar, transit, live inventory or external system changes.
  • Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.

Common questions

Does an unfilled high-priority order always block every later order?

No. Under the documented all-at-once convention, an order that cannot be fully supplied by its latest date reserves nothing. Split mode instead reserves available chunks. These are your authored planning rules, not a contractual policy or a commercial ERP compatibility claim.

Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?

No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
