How to use Expiry-ordered Lot Consumption Plan

At each demand date remove lots whose entered usable-through date has passed. Consume eligible lots by earliest cutoff, preserving source order for equal cutoffs, then reconcile all units at the selected horizon.

  1. Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.
  2. At each demand date remove lots whose entered usable-through date has passed. Consume eligible lots by earliest cutoff, preserving source order for equal cutoffs, then reconcile all units at the selected horizon.
  3. Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.

Good to know

  • 1–200 lots, 0–200 demand records, whole quantities from 0 through 1,000,000,000, and Gregorian dates from 1900 through 9999. Demand dates must be nondecreasing and not follow the horizon.
  • The usable-through day is inclusive by explicit model convention. No procurement optimization, food/medicine safety, shelf-life inference, regulatory statement or external inventory update. Future availability remains marked carry.
  • Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.

Common questions

Does a discarded unit mean the real material is unsafe?

No. Discard is only the arithmetic result of your supplied inclusive cutoff. The tool does not evaluate a material, storage condition or real expiry policy.

Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?

No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
