How to use Tabular Fixture Dataset Builder
Prepare disposable test datasets with explicit sequence, constant, cycling and earlier-table reference fields. References are checked against unique earlier values, and a JSON companion preserves exact cell strings even when spreadsheet-safe CSV needs formula protection.
- Enter input.
- Choose the settings for tabular fixture dataset builder, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- At most 5 tables, 500 rows per table, 2,000 total rows, 20 fields per table and 350,000 cell characters; archive content is limited to 1 MiB. Names are bounded ASCII identifiers; original JSON numbers must be exact integers.
- All cells are strings. Deterministic cycles are not realistic distributions or sampled identities. CSV formula-like cells are neutralized; fixture.json retains originals. There is no SQL execution, live database connection or statistical representativeness claim.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Are reference fields random foreign keys?
No. They cycle in source order through unique nonempty values from an earlier generated table. That makes the relationship reproducible and reviewable without pretending the data reflects real users.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
