How to use Independent JSON Negative Fixture Bundle

Build candidate failure tests without hand-editing many copies of a JSON document. Every named case starts from the same baseline, applies one existing-target mutation and records its path and operation, making accidental cumulative edits visible.

  1. Enter input, independent named mutations json.
  2. Choose the settings for independent json negative fixture bundle, then run the tool.
  3. Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.

Good to know

  • 20,000 baseline characters; 40 cases, 30 pointer levels, 600,000 planned JSON characters and 1 MiB archive content. Existing plain JSON Pointer targets only; array leading zeros, URI-fragment pointers, duplicate/dangerous keys and non-changing cases are refused.
  • These are candidate negative tests, not proof of invalidity. No application contract, network request, validator execution or response prediction is present. Numbers that lose their exact decimal value during JSON parsing/serialization are refused; root removal is unsupported.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Does remove in one case change the starting document for the next?

No. Each case independently clones the original baseline. The bundle includes that baseline, a SHA-256 content receipt and a case manifest; the receipt is not a signature or proof of trusted provenance.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
