How to use Support Backlog Capacity Planner

An AI resolution percentage alone does not determine support capacity. Include review effort, human handling and nonworking days to see how a declared queue evolves.

  1. List every consecutive calendar day, including closed days with zero staffed hours.
  2. Enter conservative observed handling, eligibility, review and reopening assumptions.
  3. Compare the day-by-day backlog with real queue outcomes and revise capacity before making any service promise.

Good to know

  • Maximum100 consecutive calendar days, arrivals/backlog≤1,000,000, hours/agent≤24, percentages0–100. Homogeneous daily staffing and workload mix are assumed. Zero expected labor per case is refused instead of reporting infinite capacity.
  • Fields are limited to8,000 characters; CSV has at most100 data rows and exact displayed headers. Quoted commas, newlines and doubled quotes are supported. Labels use1–200 characters. Ordinary nonnegative decimals have at most9 fractional places, magnitude999,999,999; whole counts and percentages have stricter displayed limits. No exponent notation. Results outside0.000000000001–1 quadrillion are refused, except zero.
  • Independent deterministic ToolJovia workflow. Inputs stay in this browser; no model call, vendor request, saved input, external workflow execution or message sending occurs. Outputs contain your entered records; review them before sharing. A modeled result is not proof of customers, revenue, regulatory compliance or vendor billing.

Research behind this workbench

These cases explain the business mechanism. The workbench is ToolJovia's independent adaptation, not a claim about the company's internal workflow or an endorsement.

Common questions

Does an ending backlog of zero guarantee an SLA?

No. Daily aggregate volume omits arrival times, priority, case age, absences and service-time variability.

Why does a closed day need a schedule row?

Arrivals and backlog continue on nonworking days. Omitting the day would hide that queue growth.
