How to use Markdown Section Organizer

Use a source-position parser to keep fenced code and deeper subsections attached to their real parent section. Untouched source slices and the leading preamble are preserved verbatim.

  1. Enter input, peer heading level, section to extract, complete section order.
  2. Choose the settings for markdown section organizer, then run the tool.
  3. Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.

Good to know

  • 50,000 source characters,1000 headings and bounded worker AST10,000 nodes/40 levels. Worker startup and5-second compute budgets are separate.
  • Only root-level CommonMark headings define movable peer sections. A shallower interruption is refused. A missing newline between moved sections is inserted. Moving source can affect references or surrounding author intent; review the result.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Are headings inside fenced code moved as sections?

No. The CommonMark parser identifies code blocks, so their apparent heading text is ordinary source content.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
