How to use Markdown Link Migration Workbench
Apply a deliberate destination migration to inline links, images and reference definitions. Code spans/blocks and ordinary bracket text are not treated as links, and no destination is requested.
- Enter input, exact old-to-new json mapping.
- Choose the settings for markdown link migration workbench, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- 50,000 Markdown characters,1000 mappings,5000 changes and bounded worker AST10,000 nodes/40 levels. No MDX execution or remote resolution.
- Only selected changed nodes are reserialized, so their quoting/escape style can change. All other source slices are copied exactly. Reference destinations change at their definitions; ambiguous nested edits require separate passes.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Will text resembling a link inside code be rewritten?
No. Only parser link, image and definition nodes are eligible. Code and unrelated source are copied unchanged.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
