How to use JSON Patch Applier
Review a data-only patch transaction before using its output. A failed operation returns an error; the source string and external state remain unchanged.
- Enter input, json patch array.
- Choose the settings for json patch applier, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- 100 operations, 100,000 characters per input, 10,000 values and depth 40. Root-document removal is explicitly unsupported.
- Pointer traversal uses own properties only; prototype-like keys remain ordinary JSON data. Standard numeric precision applies.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
What happens if a test operation fails?
The run fails without returning partial success or changing the original source.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
