How to use JSON Canonicalization Workbench
Serialize a bounded JSON document with UTF-16 property ordering and ECMAScript number spelling. Canonical source and an optional digest identify the exact UTF-8 output.
- Enter input.
- Choose the settings for json canonicalization workbench, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- 100,000 characters,10,000 values and40 levels. Duplicate decoded member names, unpaired surrogates, nonfinite numbers and nonzero numeric underflow are refused.
- Numbers follow IEEE754 parsing and ECMAScript serialization; decimal precision beyond that model is not retained. This is canonical serialization, not encryption or signature verification.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Is sorting the keys of a normal object enough?
No. Integer-like keys can be enumerated differently, so this serializer emits sorted member text directly and checks the input domain.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
