How to use Image Resizer

Resize a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image with an optional aspect-ratio lock. The original file stays on your device, and the tool creates a separate result.

  1. Choose a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file from your device.
  2. Set any dimensions or output options and run the tool.
  3. Review the preview and file size, then download your result.

Good to know

  • Upscaling cannot recover detail. Preserving the ratio calculates height from width; exact dimensions can stretch the image.
  • Inputs are capped at 10 MB and 24 megapixels. Browser re-encoding can change color profiles and metadata; output is not an archival copy. Animated inputs are flattened.

Common questions

Will this upload my image?

No. The browser reads the selected file and processes it with local canvas APIs.

Are metadata and animation preserved?

No. Output is a single raster image; EXIF metadata, animation, and color-profile details may be removed or changed.
