How to use Image Compressor
Adjust image quality and download a smaller JPEG or WebP when possible. The original file stays on your device, and the tool creates a separate result.
- Choose a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file from your device.
- Set any dimensions or output options and run the tool.
- Review the preview and file size, then download your result.
Good to know
- Lossy compression changes pixels and may produce a larger file for already optimized inputs. Compare the output size before saving.
- Inputs are capped at 10 MB and 24 megapixels. Browser re-encoding can change color profiles and metadata; output is not an archival copy. Animated inputs are flattened.
Common questions
Will this upload my image?
No. The browser reads the selected file and processes it with local canvas APIs.
Are metadata and animation preserved?
No. Output is a single raster image; EXIF metadata, animation, and color-profile details may be removed or changed.
