How to use GPX Track Inspector
Read location-file structure locally without requesting device location or map tiles. Segment boundaries remain explicit, elevation is optional and timestamps stay unmodified source strings.
- Enter local file.
- Choose the settings for gpx track inspector, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- 200,000-byte UTF-8 input,20,000 XML elements,60 levels and5000 points. No external resources or location permissions.
- GPX1.1 coordinate inventory only. Unknown extensions/names are not carried into the GeoJSON copy; timestamps are raw text, not interpreted instants. Single-point segments become Point features.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Will the tool upload my route to a map service?
No. All parsing and export stay inside this browser tab, and no map is loaded.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
