How to use Local GeoJSON Point Dataset
Prepare a bounded point dataset without uploading locations or opening a map. The box can cross the antimeridian, any/all-point selection stays explicit, and the output preserves whole selected features while removing a collection extent that could have become stale.
- Enter input, optional box json [west, south, east, north], allowed property names json.
- Choose the settings for local geojson point dataset, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- 100,000 JSON characters, 2,000 features, 1,000 positions per MultiPoint, 10,000 total positions and a 1,000,000-character output. Only non-null Point/MultiPoint WGS84 geometry with 2–3 coordinates is supported.
- All JSON number spellings must retain their exact decimal value on JSON serialization, with magnitude at most 1 e 15; coordinates have tighter bounds. Legacy CRS, duplicate members, unpaired surrogates, silent numeric rounding and nonzero underflow are refused. Negative zero is serialized as zero.
- Selection retains whole features, including out-of-box points in an accepted MultiPoint. No clipping, reprojection, geocoding, map rendering or geometry-type inference is performed.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Will an accepted MultiPoint be clipped to the box?
No. any-point and all-points choose whole features. Every coordinate of an accepted feature remains unchanged, and the collection-level bbox is removed because filtering can make it stale.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
