How to use Chord Chart Transposer
Move root and bass pitch classes by a signed number of semitones. Supported quality strings are retained exactly. Parse errors stop the whole operation so a later unsupported token cannot produce a partially transposed chart.
- Choose the operation and enter the values described by each field.
- Run the calculation locally, then review the units and supported scope.
- Copy the report or download the generated result.
Good to know

Common questions
Will the b9 in C7(b9) be transposed?
No. It is a chord-degree modifier, not a root or bass note. Only the root and optional slash bass move.
Can I paste a song with lyrics?
Use a chord-only chart. Unsupported words and annotations are rejected rather than treated as chord names.
