How to use Caption Terminology Review Sheet
Finding a glossary variant is only the start of caption review. Keep the original line, literal source offsets, reviewer identity and proposed correction together so a handoff can distinguish unresolved findings from deliberate approvals.
- Paste the actual caption lines and an approved explicit term glossary.
- Use the existing glossary checker for discovery when useful, then enter line-specific reviewer decisions here.
- Resolve unmatched/pending records; export the review ledger and inspect the actual captions in playback.
Good to know
- At most 100 caption lines, 100 glossary/decision records, 500 line/term findings and 5,000 occurrences. Matching is literal nonoverlapping substrings, not word-boundary, semantic or translation QA.
- Approved corrections are operator-entered proposals, not automatically applied or verified. Original source lines remain unchanged, and all offsets are zero-based UTF-16 within the source line.
- Inputs are limited to 8,000 characters per field and 100 CSV data rows with exact displayed headers. Quoted commas, doubled quotes and quoted line endings are supported. Empty/duplicate identities and unsupported numeric values are refused; per-tool output bounds also apply.
- CSV text that resembles a spreadsheet formula is apostrophe-prefixed. This reduces formula execution risk without certifying every spreadsheet/import configuration.
- Deterministic browser-local work only. No AI model, upload, account connection, outreach, payment, saved input or automatic publication. Exports keep user-entered facts unverified; inspect edited drafts before sharing.

Common questions
How does this differ from User Glossary Consistency Checker?
That existing tool discovers literal term findings. This workbench adds caption-line reviewer decisions, approval completeness, approved correction text and an editable delivery ledger.
Does an approved correction modify a subtitle file?
No. It records the entered decision. A reviewer must apply it deliberately and check timing, speaker context and playback separately.
