How to use Wordlist Passphrase Generator
Choose a phrase length and generate a small batch of randomly selected words. This page chooses whole words independently from a fixed list rather than rearranging your text or sampling individual characters. Review the length rules of your intended destination before copying a phrase there.
- Choose 6–20 words per phrase and 1–20 phrases. A space or period keeps the selected words separate.
- Run the generator. Each word is selected independently using your browser's Web Crypto random source, so repetition can occur.
- Copy the current phrase text or download the complete selected format. JSON includes the exact phrases, settings, method and wordlist attribution.
- Use Reset to remove the displayed result when finished. Check your destination's rules yourself; this page neither opens an account nor tests a credential.
Good to know
- One fixed English wordlist with 7,776 unique entries, selected with replacement. Words retain the list's original spelling, including four hyphenated entries. No custom dictionary, translations, trimming, character substitutions or uniqueness filter is applied.
- Limits are 6–20 words per phrase and 1–20 phrases, at most 400 selected words. Counts use ordinary whole-number spelling; decimals, signs and scientific notation refuse. Complete phrase text is at most 4,000 ASCII bytes and complete JSON at most 20,000 ASCII bytes.
- A functioning Web Crypto getRandomValues implementation is required. Rejection sampling removes modulo bias, but it cannot audit the device's random source. If randomness is unavailable, throws or repeatedly exceeds the rejection bound, the whole batch refuses without returning a partial result. No Math.random, seed or clock fallback is used.
- This is a word generator, not a password manager, cryptographic key generator, strength score, crack-time estimate, breach check or credential compliance certificate. Services impose their own length and character rules. Generated values are not guaranteed distinct and no login or service validation is performed.
- Outputs stay in this tab until you explicitly copy or download them; the tool makes no output upload or automatic history entry. Clipboard contents, downloaded files, browser memory and other software on your device have their own handling rules. Reset is a UI action, not a guarantee of secure memory erasure.

Common questions
Why are repeated words allowed?
Every position is a new independent selection from the full list. Removing repeats would change that sampling model. Repeated phrases are also possible; the tool does not claim uniqueness.
How is this different from Random String Generator?
This chooses whole words from one attributed list. Random String Generator chooses individual characters from an alphabet, and Text Shuffler rearranges an existing list without adding independent word choices.
Why are only spaces and periods offered?
Neither occurs inside a wordlist entry, so each selected word keeps an unambiguous boundary. Some source words already contain a hyphen; their spelling is preserved.
Does the site store or test my generated phrase?
No account, network lookup or automatic save is used by this tool. Copy and Download are explicit actions. Review the device and service where you choose to use the result.
