How to use WebAssembly Binary Inspector

Inspect selected WebAssembly section ranges, imports, exports and declared memory limits without execution. The byte reader validates the header, section boundaries/order and supported numeric function/type/import/export structures. Opaque code/data sections are inventoried by range rather than compiled, instantiated or run.

  1. Provide module hex, local wasm file (file mode).
  2. Choose the supported mode and run the tool. Review its assumptions and any reported errors.
  3. Copy the result or download a separate output; reset to clear the current form.

Good to know

  • 1MiB module;1,000 sections/vector items; unsigned32-bit LEB128 fields. UTF8 binary names retain a leading U+FEFF character; it is not treated as a file BOM. Selected MVP numeric signatures only; shared/memory64 and unknown sections are rejected.
  • Opaque instruction/global/element/data bodies are not fully validated. This is not a safety verdict or complete proposal compatibility test; no WebAssembly compilation or execution occurs.
  • Inputs are processed on this device and are not automatically saved or uploaded.

Common questions

Does a successful report mean the module is safe to run?

No. It inventories selected structures without executing code and does not validate every instruction or imported capability. Treat the module as untrusted.

Does this change my original input?

No. The tool returns a separate result. Review that output before using it in another application.
