How to use vCard4 File Workbench

Read contact-file structure as local data and export a separate normalized copy or basic contact table. No address book is accessed and no contact is imported or uploaded.

Good to know

  • 200,000-byte UTF-8 file,100,000 decoded characters,1000 cards and10,000 unfolded lines. VERSION:4.0 and FN are required.
  • Only a content-line profile is checked. Parameters,escaped values and unknown properties remain raw; basic CSV is explicitly lossy and joins repeated fields. Normalize folds UTF-8 lines at75 octets.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Are photos or remote contact URLs opened?

No. Their property text remains inert and no URI is requested.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
