How to use Email Signature Draft Builder

Turn your own contact details into a small reusable message footer without writing markup. Download and inspect the HTML draft, copy the plain-text version, or save the complete JSON fields for another local editing session. Applying a signature happens separately in your email client; this page does not send mail, access an account or install settings.

  1. Enter the contact details you intend to share, or choose an exact draft JSON exported by this tool. Blank optional fields produce no placeholder lines.
  2. Choose HTML, Plain text or Draft JSON and run. Review the complete current output and download; ordinary Copy copies that selected source or text.
  3. For a formatted signature, open your separately downloaded HTML draft, inspect it and manually copy its rendered footer into your mail application’s signature editor. Check the result there. Save JSON if you want to reimport the same fields later.

Good to know

  • Name is required and has at most 100 UTF-16 units. Role and organization have 120 each, email 120, phone 80, website 512 and the closing line 200. Contact fields jointly have at most 2,048 UTF-8 bytes. Single-line well-formed Unicode is accepted, including ordinary RTL letters, NFD and emoji; C0/C1 controls, Unicode line separators and bidi formatting controls are refused.
  • Email uses a selected ASCII dot-atom local-part profile with at most 64 characters and an ASCII hostname. Quoted names, comments, domain literals and internationalized mailbox syntax are outside this profile. A generated mailto link contains only that address, never hidden subject, body, cc or sending instructions. Neither an address nor a website is verified.
  • A website must be an explicit HTTP(S) URL without credentials, raw whitespace, backslashes, malformed percent escapes or encoded controls. Its displayed source is retained; its actual destination uses the browser URL parser’s canonical form, including possible IDNA/percent encoding. Phone text is not dialled or made into a tel link. No contact link is opened by this page.
  • Optional import accepts one exact flat tooljovia.email-signature-draft.v1 JSON File, at most 32,768 UTF-8 bytes/UTF-16 units, with one optional initial BOM. Every documented field must be a string; unknown/duplicate members, nested objects and malformed UTF-8 refuse the entire run. A File overrides all starting contact fields. Raw import bytes, filenames and previous values are not embedded as hidden history.
  • Each complete artifact is at most 32,768 UTF-8 bytes/UTF-16 units. The HTML body contains only the current signature, an original restrained layout and explicit contact links. Fixed local fonts may lack some glyphs. No authored HTML/CSS, logo, image, external font, tracking resource, script or remote service is accepted or loaded.
  • Copy copies the selected HTML/JSON source or plain text. It does not write rich HTML to the clipboard or install a mail signature. Opening and selecting the downloaded HTML is a separate manual step. Mail clients may change spacing, fonts, links and formatting, and may offer their own signature editor. No client-specific import, universal compatibility, delivery or business outcome is guaranteed.
  • Processing is local without accounts, uploads or automatic persistence. Exports include personal contact details, so review them before sharing. A File read has a 5-second deadline; page exit rejects a pending read and late data is ignored. Reset or another run clears the engine result and prevents an old result from becoming current; it does not promise immediate cancellation of a browser file read already in progress.

Common questions

Does this add the signature to Gmail or Outlook for me?

No. It creates a local draft. Use your mail application’s own signature settings, deliberately copy the content you want and check the result. This page never logs in, changes an account or sends a message.

Why does Copy show HTML tags when HTML is selected?

That button copies artifact source, which is useful for review or another authoring tool. Choose Plain text for direct text copying. For a formatted draft, download HTML, open it separately and select its rendered footer; the receiving client decides what formatting it preserves.

Can I reopen my draft without storing it on this site?

Yes. Download Draft JSON and choose that local file on a later visit. Only the exact current fields are exported. The site does not keep an account, contact history or a copy of the draft.
