How to use URI Template Expander

Expand supported RFC6570 URI templates from explicit scalar, list and map variables. The expander implements reserved, fragment, label, path, parameter and query operators, including explode and Unicode prefix modifiers. It returns a string without navigating to or fetching the result.

  1. Provide uri template, variables json.
  2. Choose the supported mode and run the tool. Review its assumptions and any reported errors.
  3. Copy the result or download a separate output; reset to clear the current form.

Good to know

  • 1,000 template characters,100 variables,1,000 list/map entries and10,000 output characters. No nested expressions or arbitrary objects.
  • Variable names are literal keys, not executable property paths. The result can use any URI scheme and is kept as inert text; review it before use.
  • Inputs are processed on this device and are not automatically saved or uploaded.

Common questions

Why does + expansion retain reserved punctuation?

RFC6570 reserved expansion allows URI reserved characters and existing valid percent triplets. Ordinary expansion percent-encodes those characters; neither mode follows the destination.

Does this change my original input?

No. The tool returns a separate result. Review that output before using it in another application.
