How to use Sort Lines
Organize a list alphabetically while putting item 2 before item 10. Each line stays an intact entry, and you can choose ascending or descending order.
- Paste one entry per line.
- Select ascending or descending order.
- Sort and copy your organized list.
Good to know
- Sorting uses English collation with natural numeric ordering; punctuation and accented letters follow browser collation rules.
- Duplicates and blank lines are retained, and output line endings are normalized to LF.
Common questions
Why does item 2 come before item 10?
Natural numeric sorting compares digit runs as numbers, making numbered lists easier to read.
