How to use Percentile Calculator

Linear interpolation uses index (n−1)×p/100 between sorted observations. Nearest-rank uses ceil(n×p/100), with percentile zero defined as the minimum.

  1. Enter sample observations, requested percentiles (0–100).
  2. Check the model, units, and supported limits before calculating.
  3. Run the tool, inspect the result, then copy or download it.

Good to know

  • 1–1000 observations, 1–100 requested percentiles in 0–100. Quantile conventions differ across applications; the chosen method is shown. No distribution fit.
  • Runs locally. Numeric inputs are bounded; floating-point output is approximate and rounded to 12 significant digits. Unsupported or non-finite calculations produce an error.

Common questions

How does Percentile Calculator calculate its result?
