How to use Maze Practice Sheet Builder

Create an original rectangular navigation activity using a real maze topology rather than a decorative grid. The generator verifies a connected tree and computes the entrance-to-exit route. The student and optional teacher pages are separate, so omitting the teacher page actually removes the generated solution markup.

  1. Choose 2–25 rows and columns and enter an original title.
  2. Choose whether to include a separate teacher route page, then generate.
  3. Download the print HTML and verify page scaling before printing.

Good to know

  • At most 625 cells. Iterative randomized depth-first tree construction uses bounded native Web Crypto index sampling; no server, seed claim, recursion or unbounded search is used.
  • The entrance is the left side of the upper-left cell; the exit is the right side of the lower-right cell. Only orthogonal shared sides form passages. Connectivity and n−1 open internal sides establish the unique route.
  • Generation is not uniform over all possible mazes and does not estimate difficulty, age suitability or learning outcomes. A student-only maze is naturally solvable; omitted teacher markup is not an answer-secrecy guarantee.
  • Output is escaped original print HTML with generated numeric SVG geometry. No supplied SVG/HTML is mounted or executed. Physical paper fit and browser print layout require a separate real print-preview check.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Can I reproduce the same maze by entering the same title?

No. The title is only a label and does not seed randomness. Each generation draws fresh local randomness. Keep the downloaded artifact if you want the same maze again.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
