How to use HTML to Plain Text
Remove document markup while keeping approximate block boundaries. Scripts, styles, templates and noscript content are omitted using a pure HTML parser.
- Enter input.
- Choose the settings for html to plain text, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- 100,000 HTML characters, 20,000 nodes, 60 levels. CSS layout, hidden styles, generated content and image meaning are not computed.
- This is plain-text extraction, not an HTML sanitizer for downstream rendering.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Can an image or iframe in the input load?
No. The parser builds a JavaScript syntax tree and never mounts it in the browser document.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
