How to use HTML to Markdown
Recover a simple semantic draft from markup without running scripts or loading media. The conversion deliberately omits visual layout and active elements.
- Enter input.
- Choose the settings for html to markdown, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- A limited, lossy semantic converter: nested list numbering, tables, styles, attributes and complex layouts are not retained.
- Long backtick runs are replaced in code sections to avoid broken Markdown fences. Images become alt text.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Is this lossless conversion?
No. It preserves selected text structure only; keep the source and review the result.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
