How to use Extract URLs

Collect website links from a plain-text document for review. Every result remains text; the tool does not load destinations or evaluate their safety.

  1. Paste a plain-text source.
  2. Choose whether repeated URL strings should be kept.
  3. Extract and review links as text before opening any destination.

Good to know

  • Recognizes explicit HTTP(S) URLs only, up to 4,096 characters each. Bare domains, relative URLs, and HTML entity decoding are outside scope.
  • Trailing prose punctuation and unmatched closing parentheses are trimmed heuristically; a legitimate URL ending in such punctuation may need manual repair.
  • Syntax recognition is not a safety, ownership, or availability check. Credential-bearing URLs are excluded.

Common questions

Will extracting URLs visit those websites?

No. URL parsing is local and results are not made clickable by this tool.

Does deduplication normalize URL equivalence?

No. It removes exact repeated strings only; different encodings or fragments may refer to the same resource.
