How to use Dimensional Weight Batch Planner

Optionally round each dimension upward first. Dimensional weight is length × width × height divided by your divisor. The larger of actual and dimensional weight is rounded up per package before multiplying its count.

  1. Enter packages json (label, length, width, height, actualweight, count), your dimensional divisor, dimension rounding increment, billable weight increment.
  2. Choose the stated convention and check the units and supported model.
  3. Calculate, inspect the result, then copy or download it.

Good to know

  • Exact-grid inputs use plain decimals with at most six decimal places and magnitude at most1e9. JSON numeric inputs use their stored decimal spelling; quote decimals when their exact entered spelling matters. No input is evaluated as code. At most100 package rows, count1–10000. Use one consistent length unit and a divisor expressed as length-unit cubed per chosen weight unit. The synthetic divisor250 is an example, not a carrier policy. No rates, surcharges, minimums, eligibility or live contract rules.
  • Runs locally without input persistence. Text/JSON fields have a30000-character cap unless a stricter page limit applies; output has a1000000-character cap. Exact-grid workflows preserve six-decimal arithmetic, while approximate workflows use finite floating-point values. JSON downloads retain complete stored numeric values and exact fractions where provided. Unsupported formats and detected numeric or work-budget excess return an error or a clearly unresolved classification.
  • Educational user-assumption arithmetic only. No live prices, laws, tax rules, quotes or financial advice.

Common questions

Why does rounding happen before multiplying package count?

The declared model treats each package independently. Rounding the combined weight can produce a smaller value and is a different rule. Enter the rules applicable to your own scenario.

Is the input uploaded or saved?

No. The tool calculates inside this browser tab and provides a local download; it does not persist your input.
