How to use CSV Ordered Window Features

Prepare reproducible sequence features directly from ordered records. String offsets retain source provenance; exact numeric frames expose partial and missing-value policies instead of quietly sorting records or shrinking a row-based window.

  1. Enter input, exact group columns json, value column, offset or trailing row count, export decimal places (0–12), new value column.
  2. Choose the settings for csv ordered window features, then run the tool.
  3. Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.

Good to know

  • 2,000 rows and 200,000 CSV characters (50,000 per cell, 100 columns); frame/offset 1–1,000, exact decimal arithmetic and 0–12 export places. New columns must not collide. Source order defines group order; no implicit sort.
  • lag/lead preserve exact strings including blanks and ignore numeric missing/full-frame options. Numeric omit keeps frame positions fixed; empty frames output blank. This adds declared features, not forecasting, causal inference or statistical model validation. Formula-like source cells are neutralized in CSV.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Does omitting a blank extend a rolling window further back?

No. The frame always contains at most the declared number of source rows within that group. Blank values can be omitted from the numeric sum/count while their row positions still occupy the frame.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
