How to use Explicit Category Indicator Matrix
Prepare a reproducible categorical feature matrix with a visible mapping from source values to output columns. Unknown and missing values follow separate policies, and the original source columns remain available for review.
- Enter input, domain definitions json, exact missing tokens json.
- Choose the settings for explicit category indicator matrix, then run the tool.
- Review the result and any limitations before copying or downloading it.
Good to know
- 5,000 records, 10 source columns, 100 total new indicator columns, 100 characters per supplied domain value and 350,000 output cell characters.
- Exact case-sensitive strings only. Domains are supplied rather than learned; missing tokens must not be domain values. A zero vector can represent an allowed unknown or missing cell, and counts disclose both.
- Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.
Common questions
Does this decide which category should be a statistical reference level?
No. It emits one indicator for every supplied value and makes no model, independence or reference-level choice. Select or drop features deliberately in the destination analysis.
Is this input sent to a server?
No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
