How to use Caption Safe-Area Geometry

Translate a client’s approved caption-safe rectangle into an inspectable geometry review before a video handoff. You define the rectangle; the tool does not invent platform layout rules.

  1. Enter the actual frame size and the safe rectangle approved for this delivery.
  2. Measure each caption box and enter its pixel position and dimensions in the CSV.
  3. Review the exact outside-safe and outside-frame areas, reposition the real captions, and export the review for a visual check.

Good to know

  • Touching the safe boundary fits. The entered safe rectangle itself must lie inside the frame. No built-in social-platform specification is assumed.
  • No video, font rendering, line wrapping, animation, OCR or subtitle file is inspected or changed.
  • Exact displayed CSV headers; at most100 data rows and8,000 UTF-16 characters per input. Plain decimals have at most9 fractional places; display rounds half-up to12 places. Unknown evidence stays unknown. CSV exports preserve summaries, settings, every calculated detail/finding, limitations and scoped input records; spreadsheet-like text is apostrophe-prefixed.
  • Browser-local supplied-record review. No AI, network requests, provider connection, file upload, stored input or automatic delivery. Use neutral identifiers instead of personal information or secrets.

Common questions

Is this a platform compliance checker?

No. It checks the customer-defined rectangle you enter. Verify the actual distribution requirements and the rendered video independently.

Why report area rather than just a warning?

The exact outside area distinguishes a small coordinate error from a caption largely outside the approved region.
