How to use Binary Record Pack and Unpack Workbench

Pack or unpack fixed binary fields using an explicit offset and endian JSON schema. Supported types are u8/i8/u16/i16/u32/i32/u64/i64/f32/f64 and fixed bytes. Unused packing bytes are zero;64-bit integers remain exact decimal strings.

  1. Provide schema json, values json or record hexadecimal.
  2. Choose the supported mode and run the tool. Review its assumptions and any reported errors.
  3. Copy the result or download a separate output; reset to clear the current form.

Good to know

  • 1MiB record,200 nonoverlapping fields,10000 values,40KB schema. No pointers, ABI alignment, expressions, variable lengths, NaN or infinities.
  • bytes fields use exact hex; count>1 numeric fields use arrays. Unpacking requires an exact byte length. Float32 values are rounded to IEEE754 binary32.
  • Inputs are processed on this device and are not automatically saved or uploaded.

Common questions

Does this infer a C struct layout?

No. You supply every offset and byte order explicitly; compiler padding and ABI rules are not inferred.

Does this change my original input?

No. The tool returns a separate result. Review that output before using it in another application.
