How to use Base64 Encoder
Convert readable text into a standard Base64 string. Accented characters, non-Latin scripts, and emoji are encoded as UTF-8 bytes before Base64 conversion.
- Enter the text to encode.
- Run the encoder.
- Copy or download the standard Base64 result.
Good to know
- Text input only, up to 200,000 characters. This is not a binary-file encoder.
- Uses the standard + and / alphabet with = padding, rather than Base64URL.
- Base64 is an encoding and provides no confidentiality.
Common questions
Does it encrypt my text?
No. Anyone with the Base64 string can decode it.
What happens to emoji?
They are encoded as UTF-8 bytes and can be recovered with the matching decoder.
