How to use Assessment Objective Blueprint

Review the composition of an original test before administering it. Allocate each question’s points across declared learning objectives and compare the resulting coverage with your chosen relative target weights. Every total can be traced to specific authored items, and an optional unmapped remainder stays visible.

  1. Enter original objective IDs, relative target weights and question points as decimal strings.
  2. Assign positive percentage shares to objectives and choose whether unmapped item points are allowed.
  3. Run the check, inspect the contributing-item witnesses and download the exact coverage report.

Good to know

  • 1–30 objectives, 1–200 items, at most 1,000 allocations and 100,000 JSON characters. Numeric inputs are plain decimal strings up to 999999.999999 with at most six decimal places; JSON numbers, signs, exponents, duplicate object members and unsupported keys are refused.
  • Points must be positive; target weights may be zero but their total must be positive. Shares are positive percentages totaling exactly 100 per item, or at most 100 under the explicit unmapped policy. IDs and labels are exact strings without control characters.
  • This checks supplied point allocations and arithmetic only. It does not grade students, generate exam questions, validate curriculum alignment, establish assessment validity or certify any qualification. No copied question bank or automated subject classification is used.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Does matching my target weights prove that the test is valid?

No. The report checks the arithmetic of the assignments you supplied. Whether a question actually measures its assigned objective, whether the targets are appropriate and whether a test is valid require separate subject and assessment judgment. Unmapped points remain in the actual-percentage denominator.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
