How to use Workflow Retry & Idempotency Auditor

Retries can create duplicate external writes. Compare a bounded exported workflow with your explicit effect and idempotency declarations before reviewing the real deployed automation.

  1. Export a permitted workflow and remove secrets before pasting it.
  2. Declare every node as read, write or unknown and state whether idempotency is established.
  3. Resolve retry and reachability flags against actual workflow behavior before deployment.

Good to know

  • JSON is strict and data-only: duplicate/dangerous keys, nesting over15, arrays/objects over100 and graphs over300 edges are refused. Cycles are rejected rather than partially simulated. Disabled nodes do not forward reachability. Custom trigger types may be unrecognized.
  • Fields are limited to8,000 characters; CSV has at most100 data rows and exact displayed headers. Quoted commas, newlines and doubled quotes are supported. Labels use1–200 characters. Ordinary nonnegative decimals have at most9 fractional places, magnitude999,999,999; whole counts and percentages have stricter displayed limits. No exponent notation. Results outside0.000000000001–1 quadrillion are refused, except zero.
  • Independent deterministic ToolJovia workflow. Inputs stay in this browser; no model call, vendor request, saved input, external workflow execution or message sending occurs. Outputs contain your entered records; review them before sharing. A modeled result is not proof of customers, revenue, regulatory compliance or vendor billing.

Research behind this workbench

These cases explain the business mechanism. The workbench is ToolJovia's independent adaptation, not a claim about the company's internal workflow or an endorsement.

Common questions

Does a yes idempotency declaration prove retries are safe?

No. It records your assertion. Verify that the external service and your durable keys actually prevent repeated writes.

Are credentials or node parameters exported?

No. They are omitted from the report and never executed. Remove secrets from source exports before entering them anyway.
