How to use Letter Feedback Candidate Reviewer

Check which entries in an authored list can satisfy a set of positional letter clues. Exact matches consume their answer positions first; remaining letters are matched from left to right against the unused answer inventory. The result is transparent list filtering, with original line witnesses and no official game corpus, daily answer or promised optimal strategy.

  1. Enter equal-length ASCII words from your own list; original letters are checked before uppercasing.
  2. Enter up to twenty complete G/Y/B feedback records under the stated two-stage protocol.
  3. Review surviving distinct candidates and their original source lines; an empty result only describes the supplied list.

Good to know

  • At most 100,000 dictionary characters, 5,000 nonempty dictionary lines and words of 2–12 ASCII letters with one common length. No spaces, accents, ligature expansion, full Unicode folding or invented dictionary words are accepted.
  • Clues use exact guess, feedback lines with no CSV quoting or whitespace repair. Guess length and uppercase G/Y/B feedback length must equal the dictionary length. At most 20 clues/10,000 characters; guesses need not appear in the candidate list.
  • G is assigned to all exact positions first. Then non-G guess positions consume matching remaining answer letters left to right as Y; others are B. This explicit inventory rule is essential for repeated letters. Distinct uppercase candidates retain every original spelling and line number.
  • No external word list, game connection, ranking, entropy optimizer, official rule certification or real-time answer source is included. Zero listed survivors is not proof of universal impossibility; it may reflect an incomplete list or a clue-entry mistake.
  • Processing is local. Output is limited to 1,000,000 text characters unless a stricter file limit is stated.

Common questions

Does a B mark always ban that letter from the answer?

No. Another copy may already have consumed the available occurrences as G or Y. The tool replays the complete inventory rule instead of treating repeated letters as independent yes/no clues.

Is this input sent to a server?

No. The application processes this input inside your browser tab and does not save it to persistent storage.
