How to use Exact Weighted Voting Power Review
Enumerate each coalition once under a positive quota. A player is critical when adding them changes a losing coalition into a winning one. Exact counts yield normalized Banzhaf power, while permutation-cardinality weights yield Shapley–Shubik power and a checked total of one.
- Enter model json (schema and units below).
- Choose the stated convention and check the units and supported model.
- Calculate, inspect the result, then copy or download it.
Good to know
- 1–20 distinct players, whole weights 0–1,000,000 and quota from 1 through total weight. At most 1,048,576 coalitions. This mathematical simple-game model assumes every coalition is possible; no political behavior, legal voting rule or negotiating recommendation is inferred.
- Local calculation only; no input persistence or external lookup. Text/JSON is limited to 30000 characters and output to 1000000 characters. Numeric model inputs and precision/work limits are stated on this page. Approximate JSON numbers retain full stored values; exact arithmetic outputs retain decimal or fraction strings. Unsupported states fail explicitly.
Common questions
Can a positive vote weight have zero power?
Yes. A player who never changes a losing coalition into a winning coalition is a dummy in this quota model, even with a positive stated weight.
Is the input uploaded or saved?
No. The tool calculates inside this browser tab and provides a local download; it does not persist your input.
