How to use Ranked Ballot Method Comparison
Count every declared ballot exactly. Compare named methods in one report, retain score ties, show each runoff transfer and use your explicit order only to eliminate a tied lowest candidate.
- Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.

- Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.
Good to know
- 2–20 unique candidates, 1–500 complete strict ranking rows, positive whole weights up to 1,000,000,000 and a complete elimination-order permutation. Borda uses n−1 through 0 points.
- No truncated/exhausted ballots, official election rules, voter identity, ballot submission, legal result or fairness certification. A strict majority means greater than half, not equal to half.
- Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.
Common questions
Why can the methods name different winners?
They count different aspects of a ranking. This report exposes those definitions, exact ties and pairwise cycles without declaring a method universally fair or legally applicable.
Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?
No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
