How to use Declared Unit Vesting Schedule

At each original monthly anniversary calculate the cumulative floor of grant units times elapsed periods divided by total periods, suppressing releases before the entered cliff. Difference successive cumulative totals to retain every residual unit.

  1. Use the example as the schema; replace its labels and entered model assumptions.
  2. At each original monthly anniversary calculate the cumulative floor of grant units times elapsed periods divided by total periods, suppressing releases before the entered cliff. Difference successive cumulative totals to retain every residual unit.
  3. Calculate, inspect the complete witnesses and limitations, then copy or download the JSON report.

Good to know

  • 1–1,000,000,000,000 whole grant units, 1–600 monthly periods, a cliff from 0 through the final period, and Gregorian dates from 1900 through 9999. No grant-day release; even a zero cliff begins at period1.
  • Clamp mode always refers to the original start day; strict mode refuses any nonexistent anniversary. No grant-contract interpretation, options exercise, actual ownership, forfeiture, acceleration, employment, milestone or tax assumption.
  • Local calculation with no upload, input persistence or outside lookup. Model JSON is limited to 30,000 characters and 10,000 values. Decimal quantities are strings with up to six places; count fields use plain JSON integers. Exact fractions are capped at 8,192 bits. The complete JSON output is limited to 1,000,000 characters; approximate numbers preserve their stored values. Unsupported states fail explicitly.

Common questions

Does vested mean an option has automatically become an issued share?

No. This report counts scheduled units only. The rights attached to a particular award and any exercise or settlement process are outside this mathematical model.

Are my model inputs saved or sent to a server?

No. This model runs in the current browser tab and creates a local JSON download. It does not save your input or call an external data service.
