How to use UUID Validator

Inspect one identifier or a line-separated list before an import. The checker normalizes casing and accepts the UUID URN prefix, while distinguishing structural validity from actual uniqueness.

  1. Enter canonical hyphenated UUIDs, one per line.
  2. Select Run tool to report shape, version, and variant compatibility.
  3. Review the result, then copy it or download the generated file.

Good to know

  • Up to 1,000 identifiers and 50,000 characters. Supports RFC versions 1–8, Nil, and Max; braces and compact unhyphenated strings are not accepted.
  • A valid shape does not establish uniqueness, origin, authenticity, or whether an application has issued the identifier.

Common questions

Are uppercase UUIDs accepted?

Yes. UUID hexadecimal digits are case-insensitive and normalized to lowercase in the report.
